19 of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev claimed his first trophy for 882 days with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The athlete, a former number one, has endured a challenging period, achieving just one match at the big events and experiencing a setback at the New York tournament.
His varied form on the professional circuit - and issues with his service game in particular - caused him exiting of the top ten and finally parting ways with long-term mentor Cervara.
Now collaborating with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily advanced in the recent weeks - climaxing in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over opponent Moutet.
This marks the player's maiden trophy after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt since March of the previous year.
The win also indicates Medvedev has won twenty-one victories at 21 various events.
"It's the first time I'm at a competition with my children together, so to secure a trophy is especially meaningful," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my younger daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I achieved when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had been defeated in his previous six title deciders, comprising in that event previously this season.
The player's counter-punching strategy and regular emotional displays on the tennis court had led some to wonder if his ability to perform at the highest level was finished.
However the athlete has altered his approach in the last few weeks, striving to approach the net and compete assertively, supported by an enhanced serve.
Medvedev fought back from a break down in the first set against the difficult Frenchman, securing four of the final five points to go ahead.
The pair traded service breaks in the middle set before the challenger, bidding for his initial tour championship, seized the initiative to create a third set.
Moutet defended four early chances in a close deciding set before the Russian won the break to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, the winner secured the win with a shot at the front of the court, with his opponent unable to manage a volley after over two and a half hours.
